Typhoon control research
aiming for a safe
and prosperous society

YOKOHAMA National Univercity
Typhoon Science and Technology Research Center

We are conducting research with the goal of realizing a safe and prosperous society free from the threat of typhoons.
Experts from diverse backgrounds—such as meteorology, engineering, mathematics, disaster prevention, law, ethics, and philosophy—are collaborating in this effort.
Through open collaboration and real-world experiments, we explore how to control typhoons safely and effectively.
By 2050, our goal is bold: to turn typhoons from a threat into a blessing and build a future where everyone can live in peace.
